The Colony Chapter of ABWA is an active Member of our Chamber of Commerce. The Colony Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit group of organizations, businesses, professionals and individuals committed to promote business development, achieve economic growth and improve the quality of life in the city of The Colony and its surrounding areas.
The City of The Colony is located on the southeastern shores of Lake Lewisville and is named after the historic Peters Colony Settlement. Some portions of the land for The Colony were purchased from descendants of the original settlers in the 1840s. The City of The Colony was incorporated in January 1977.
