Charted in 2000 with over thirty members. ABWA The Colony has been providing opportunities for members to advance personally and professionally ever since, and has been recognized nationally with the “ABWA Best Practices” award for the last five years.
ABWA The Colony focuses on Professional Development of our members, yet continues to create a warm environment for members to share successes and learn from the lack there of. Support of each other’s personal and working lives is tantamount.
The chapter consists of a variety of members – from home-based business owners to employees of large companies. With those demographics, ABWA The Colony provides excellent opportunities to mentor or be mentored, to build confidence and competence, develop and enhance organizational skills, practice collaboration and delegation, and lead or be part of a team, all while building lasting friendships.
